Killing of Igbo man: Neither S/Africa or Nigeria is your home – IPOB sends message to Igbos

– IPOB has called for the probe of the killing of one Igbo man in SOuth Africa

– It emphasizes that only Biafra can be good for Igbos

The Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) has reacted to the killing of one Mr. Tochukwu Victor Nnadi, a Nigerian in South Africa.

IPOB compared the killing of Nnadi by policemen in South Africa to the killing of Igbos in Nigeria and said only the creation of Biafra can be the best move for Igbos.

Vanguard reports that in a statement by Mazi Innocent Alia , Zonal Coordinator Cape Town in South Africa demanded the probing of the death of Nnadi in the custody of South African Police, Cape Town CBD on December 29 2016.

“According to eye witness statements and of onlookers, observers and some IPOB members present during the confrontation that led to the arrest and instant death of Nnadi, it was unanimously agreed among them that no other explanation can be given other than, that the young man was brutally killed by some sadistic members of the South African police after he was arrested and handcuffed for suspicion over dealing in dr*gs.”

“Furthermore, the death of Nnadi should serve as a timely reminder to all sons

and daughters of Biafra that no place, not Nigeria and not even South Africa, can ever be compared to an independent Republic of Biafra.”

Ikechukwu Anyene, the president of Nigeria Union in South Africa, confirmed the death to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on telephone from Pretoria.

According to Anyene, an eye witnesses saw the police handcuff the victim and suffocated him to death.

“When the people saw what happened, they raised an alarm and confronted the police.

“The union`s chapter in Cape Town is already on top of the situation and trying its best to facilitate the release of the detained brother of the deceased,” he said.
