Fayose who is the chairman of Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) governors’ forum said only the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) can rescue Nigeria from its myriad of problems as the nation moves closer to another general election in 2019, The Sun reports.

The governor in a statement issued through his media aide, Lere Olayinka, on Monday, January 23, called on all party members to close ranks and rebuild the party so as to win the 2019 presidential election.

He said: “Falling is not unusual but remaining in falling state is admittance of perpetual defeat. PDP is a sleeping and not a dead lion. We have the best and established structure which needs only reactivation by putting all hands on deck.
