Members of the National Assembly have prioritized the 2017 budget and constitutional amendment as they resume session after the Christmas and New Year break.
According to Daily Trust, the two chambers of the National Assembly embarked on recess December 15 2016, a day after President Muhammadu Buhari presented the 2017 budget to the law makers.

Daily Trust further reports that the lawmakers would consider the medium term Expenditure Framework and Fiscal Strategy Papers as part of their priorities as they resume session.

The report also said Bukola Saraki, Senate President presented the interim report of the constitution amendment which was chaired by Ike Ekweremadu the deputy senate president.
Saraki had also fixed this month as for the passage of the petroleum Industry Bill before embarking on the recess in December last year.
