Wear your uniform or resign – Senate orders Customs DG
The Comptroller General of the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS), Col. Hameed Ali (retd) is in some trouble with the Nigerian Senate.
The Senate has asked the Colonel Ali to appear “in plenary in uniform” on Wednesday, March 15, “unfailingly.”
Part of the problem is the refusal of the Comptroller General to suspend action on the proposed clamp down on vehicles without duty payment, as ordered by the legislature.

Meanwhile about a month ago, the appointment of 48 senior officers in the NCS has been terminated following an ongoing reorganization.
The appointments of three officers were terminated, 45 officers were dismissed and 11 retired.
The service asked the 45 dismissed officers and the three that were terminated to go for professional misconduct.
