One of the leaders of Nigeria’s civic tech organisation – BudgIT Nigeria, Seun Onigbinde has stated that President Muhammadu Buhari does not have a stronghold on his appointees.
In a tweet via his Twitter page on Thursday, March 23, Onigbinde made reference to several cases in the presidency to butress his point.
There have been several media reports that President Buhari is not in charge of his government, with some saying the government has been hijacked by a few people.
These rumours were validated by the wife of the president Hajiya Aisha Buhari who told the BBC Hausa service in an interview last year, that her husband does not personally know most of the people he appoints in his administration.

Similarly, legal practitioner, Kingsley Omose has stated that President Buhari will be remembered as a man who led Nigeria twice with little or no positive legacies to show for it.
Omose who made his stance known via his Twitter handle, said President Buhari is dismantling his own myth, aura and legacies.
Meanwhile, Emir of Kano Muhammadu Sanusi II has warned President Muhammadu Buhari against praise singers and sycophants.
According to the emir, the praise singers around the president are the real enemies of the government who could destroy his efforts.
The revered emir made the comment at the 10th Kehinde Sofola (SAN) memorial lecture in Lagos on Thursday, March 24.
