A Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday, March 21, has granted bail to the former group managing director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Andrew Yakubu.

Yakubu was arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged money laundering among others.

Yakubu was arrested by EFCC after $9.8 million cash was found in one of his houses in Kaduna.
Yakubu was granted N300 million bail.

He was also ordered to produce two sureties to perfect his bail condition.
His bail comes after Justice Ahmed Mohammed ordered his remand in Kuje Prison where he spent four days pending hearing and ruling on his bail application.
