Dogara leads special prayer session for Buhari’s speedy recovery

Dogara leads special prayer session for President Buhari’s speedy recovery

Yakubu Dogara has expressed faith that God restore the President Buhari to full health.

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, has led a prayer session for the speedy recovery of President Muhammadu Buhari.

The prayers session place took place in the speaker’s office when the Christian women leaders from the 19 northern states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), paid the him a courtesy visit at the National Assembly on Thursday, March 9.

The speaker expressed faith that God will answer the prayer and restore the president to full health, NTA reports.

He said: “Because we have prayed, God in heaven will answer us. In fact, He is not answering us, He is honouring His word.”

Dogara, in his address, urged the woman to live in fulfillment of the demands of Christ Jesus by showing love to everyone irrespective of faith and tribe, adding that love begets peace and only in peace can development be achieved and faith practices without fear or restrictions.

“Love without restrictions. Love your neigbours in fulfillment of Christ’s command. Do not restrict your love to only Christians, also show love to Muslims and people of other faith,” he said.

In other news, the House of Representatives has adopted a resolution calling on the federal government to declare Kogi, Enugu and Anambra as oil producing states.

The resolution was adopted on Thursday, March 9, following of a motion jointly moved by Emmanuel Egwu, Tony Nwoye and Patrick Asadu from the three states respectively.

According to Premium times, Egwu who spoke on the behalf of the three states said the government was aware that oil and gas deposits have been found in commercial quantities in Anambra Basin.

Meanwhile, the Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity, Femi Adesina has announced on his official Facebook page that President Buhari made a call from London to former Ekiti state governor, Niyi Adebayo.

The former governor had recently lost his father, the former governor of the defunct Western Region, Major-General Adeyinka Adebayo.
