2. Ex-governor Suswam linked to militia leader in Benue

A report by The Nation indicates that the DSS is now probing former Benue state governor, Gabriel Suswam links to a militia leader in the state.

The militia leader, Terwaze Akwazza (a.k.a Gana) is said to have three local government areas in his grip namely; Logo, Katsina-Ala and Ukum.

According to the report, the DSS is also investigating the ex-governor for allegedly building an armoury in his mansion, which is under construction in Makurdi.

3. JUST IN: Naira weakens to N458 per dollar at parallel market

The Nigerian Naira on Thursday, March 2, crashed against the American Dollar, Pound Sterling and Euro at the parallel market.

According to reports, the local currency has crashed to N458 per dollar as against the N455 it closed yesterday, March 1.

The Naira also weakened to N540 against the Pound from the previous rate of N535 and to N475 against the Euro as against the previous rate of N460.

4. NGF not planning to visit Buhari in London – Governor Yari

The chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF), Abdulaziz Yari of Zamfara state has stated that Nigerian governors are not planning to visit President Muhammadu Buhari in London.

President Buhari has been in London since January 19. The presidency had first announced that he was there for a 10-day leave. But he has since extended the leave on medical grounds.

5. Osinbajo gets chieftaincy title in Akwa Ibom (Photos)

Reports coming from Akwa Ibom state is that acting President, Yemi Osinbajo has been conferred with a Chieftaincy title in Akwa ibom state.

He was conferred with the title “Obong Emem Ibom” by state traditional rulers during his Thursday visits to the state.
