Former President Goodluck Jonathan is now broke and this is why since leaving office, he often complains about paucity of funds, Deji Adeyanju has said.
Adeyanju, the director of new media of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), reportedly said this while speaking with Sahara Reporters.
He said since leaving office, former President Goodluck Jonathan has been frequently complaining of not having funds adding that though Jonathan was not corrupt, most of the people around him during his administration were.

“I don’t think that the former President, Jonathan, was corrupt but he had too many corrupt people around him. He was a simple man, had trust on people.

“His problem was that he trusted so many people but they did not leave up to expectation. He gave them room to operate and now he complains that he don’t have money.

“If a former President can be complaining all the time, which he does frequently; he starts raising the issue of people that stole so much money and he just shake his head,” he said.
Meanwhile, ZENITHBLOG.com had reported that former President Goodluck Jonathan recently clashed with Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna state over how an Ecological Fund was disbursed during the last administration.
Jonathan, in slamming El-Rufai, called the governor a pathological liar as claimed by former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
In his reply on Monday, May 30, Governor Nasir El-Rufai called Jonathan a man that refuses to take responsibility for anything concerning his government.

Hear him: “Former President Goodluck Jonathan is not a man that can take responsibility for anything.
“In March 2015, not long after making a concession call to President Buhari, he summoned his party and asked its leadership to reject the results of an election whose winner he had congratulated in private.
“That effort at duplicity failed spectacularly and the will of the people prevailed.”
