The people of Ekpoma in Edo state are not having it easy this rainy season as flood has overtaken their roads.

A Facebook user, Engr SF Hopeful Hope, shared videos of the havoc being caused by flood in the area.

He accused former Governor Adams Oshiomhole of abandoning the people of Esan and buying votes in the last governorship election in the state.

He wrote: “Ladies and gentlemen daddies and mummies, this is my beloved home town Ekpoma and this road is Ihumudumu road by GTB Alli Square. I have campaigned vigorously against Oshiomhole the chief Anini of Edo state and his puppet Godwin Obaseki not because of hatred for him but because he came to steal and to destroy.

“Shame on all card carrying members of APC in Ekpoma you guys again campaigned and bought votes with 5 to 10 thousand for Godwin Obaseki in the last elections after Oshiomhole abandonment for 8years. Oshiomhole government reduced Ekpoma to dumped sites. To all those who bought votes for APC and Oshiomohle in the last elections may Almighty God treats your entire life the way APC/Oshiomhole treated the Esan people in 8years can I hear Amen????”

Everywhere was flooded leaving residents with nowhere to pass.

The road has been like for years according to some people who reacted to the post. Some others said it had nothing to do with the ruling All Progressives Congress as the Peoples Democratic Party was guilty of same thing.

Few days ago, photos of a flooded Government Residential Area (GRA) in Asaba, Delta state, surfaced on social media.

ZENITHBLOG.com reported that it was shared on social media by a resident of the area.In the photos shared, the streets in the area could be seen flooded with water all through leaving residents nowhere pass or drive their cars.
