– Professor Yemi Osinbajo is set to meet with leaders from the south east later today.
– The acting president is also expected to assure leaders from the region of the safety of Igbos in the northern part of the country
Professor Yemi Osinbajo will meet with leaders from the south-east today over the quit notice issued by some youths in Kaduna recently.
The acting president yesterday met with leaders from the north where he vowed to decisively deal with trouble makers making hate speeches capable of jeopardizing the country’s unity.
He had promised on Tuesday, June 13, to meet with leaders from both regions after meeting with them separately.
The official twitter handle of the country’s government house confirmed this in a tweet released today.
It’s believed that the acting president will also allay fears as he assures leaders from the south-east of Igbo safety in the North and Nigeria as a whole.
ZENITHBLOG.com had reported that the meeting was sequel to the calls for secession by youth from different ethnic groups in the country resulting in some asking others to vacate their enclave before October 1.
However, watch a TV video below of Professor Osinbajo speaking about Nigeria’s unity.
