There was a mild drama on Wednesday June 7 in Ohovbe Primary School, Ikpoba-Okha local government area of Edo state as cattle chased students out of their classrooms.
ZENITHBLOG.com gathered that Head teacher of the school, Mrs Emumen Mercy while conducting reporters round the school disclosed that the “affected pupils have to stay outside for about one hour before the herdsman came to remove their cattle.”

She noted that the herdsmen have “turned the school to grazing ground,” adding that the cattle usually invaded the classrooms whenever it rained.
It was learnt that the school perimeter fence which broke down gave the herdsmen access into the school.

Mrs Mercy who showed reporters a recent video recorded by one of the school teachers said they had been facing the predicament for many months.
The Head Mistress further called on relevant agencies to save the children from danger.
ZENITHBLOG.com had previously reported that Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state signed anti-herdsmen bill into law to prevent Fulani herdsmen from open grazing of their cattle in the state.
