After almost 2 years in prison, the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has been released from jail on Friday, April 28.
Prior to the decision of the court to release him on bail, some Nigerian prophets included him in their prophecies for 2017. Even though things were not looking rosy for the self-acclaimed leader who was arrested in October 2015, these prophets maintained that God showed them that he would be released.

1. Prophet Emmanuel Chukwudi:
Prophet Emmanuel Chukwudi prophesied about the release of Nnamdi Kanu
The founder and general overseer of the King of Kings deliverance church in Asaba, Delta state, revealed that Nnamdi Kanu would be released from detention in 2017.
While prophesying sometime in January 2017, Prophet Chukwudi said:
“Tell pro-Biafrans to stop shedding tears. Their leader Nnamdi Kanu shall not remain in prison custody for too long again. He is already on his way out. As for their (pro-Biafrans) agitations for Biafra, the Lord says it is already in the horizon. Their day shall come soon”.

2. Prophet Princewill Iheme:
Prophet Princewill Iheme said Nnamdi Kanu would be released in 2017
The prophet who is a pro-Biafra supporter, made a noteworthy statement to ZENITHBLOG.com, where he mentioned that US president, Donald Trump, was not responsible for handing over Biafra to the agitators.
He said:
“But I have begged President Muhammadu Buhari to release Nnamdi Kanu to reduce tension in Nigeria because his death would cause war. Igbo president cannot give but will cool down Biafra agitators, Boko Haram, Niger delta militants, Fulani attack.
President Buhari will release Kanu soon. But Donald Trump cannot give Biafra.”

3. Prophet Anthony Nwoko:
Prophet Anthony Nwoko said Nnamdi Kanu would be freed in 2017
Prophet Nwoko, an Enugu-based man of God, also prophesied about the release of Nnamdi Kanu, in 2017.
He was quoted as saying:
“I prophesy that this is a year of liberation; a year of Biafra struggle; let Igbos wake up. The spirit is appealing to Nnamdi Kanu and others suffering in detention to be patient. God will bring all of them out this year.”
Even though these prophets may be right in their prophecies, however it is worthy to note that Nnamdi Kanu has not regained his full freedom, as the court granted him bail due to health conditions.
