I ended the call with chiidinma feeling very happy. The lie I devised to convinced her was a bit funny. I was laughing hysterically to myself as I thought of calling Bidemi too. I know I don’t have much excuse to give to her. I just need to make her head swell small with my sweet words. She is my darling and the true love of my heart but I wasn’t ready to accept her like that totally yet. I was still thinking of calling her when I heard the sound of Badoo from the sitting room. I don’t know he could come back so early. The time is going to around 7:15pm. I rushed out of my room to meet him in the parlor. I could see him looking high but he is totally in his senses. No one can actually detect that he has drank anything related to alcohol; (my able brother who soji). I approached him at the parlor as he walked to his room and I began to hail him.
Me: (smiling) my well able and honorable brother, baaaaddoooo of life.
Brother segun: (smiling). Wa sere omo iya mi (you be confirm my brother)
Me: (smiling) egbon, how was your trip and the party?
Bro segun: (smiling) it was very fine omo iya. You can’t believe how fun the place was like. I enjoyed myself thoroughly
Me: (smiling) baddoo, you are too surest my brother and I trust you.
Bro segun: (smiling). How was your day?
Me: (low voice) brother segun it was okay but….i think he detect that I sound sad in my voice so he cut me off before I could finished my speech to ask me what went wrong with me during the day.
Bro segun: (cut me off) what happened aburo? Hope you are fine femi? Why do you look so unhappy?
Me: (low voice) it’s a private matter brother segun, let’s discuss it inside. We got to his room and he asked me to explain myself. I told him everything that happened except that I just lied that I went to my girlfriends place, I didn’t want him to know that I invited a girl over to the house again today. He said that he has warned me to stop using the sxxx enhancer drug before, that what happened to me today is one of the consequences he has been warning me about. He made it clear that I should stop using it or if it’s important that I use it for any reason, I should make it once in a while and I should not take more than just one tablet at a time. He told me there is a drug that works for erectile dysfunction, which he will try to get for me. He then asks if I used protection when am having sxxx. I said no and he was like “this boy you better be careful”. I thanked him very much after and I promised to take to his advice. I got out of badoo’s room and I felt a little hunger coming from my stomach. I have not eaten any other food since I ate a little indomie from the one I cooked for motunrayo. I went straight to meet funmilayo who was already cooking dinner for the family in the kitchen. She was cooking amala with egusi soup. I remember I have some questions to ask her about bayo and their friendship with the way I met them in the afternoon when I came in on them after escorting Motunrayo outside. I got to the kitchen and met her washing the pot for the amala and we got into a conversation
Me: (smiling) iyawo mi, iyawo mi. |Olowo spoon, no one can ever take you away from me o,
Funmilayo: (smiling). Hmmmmn Brother femi
Me: (smiling). Well done my dear.
Funmilayo: thank you brother femi, the food will soon be ready in case you are hungry (like say she knew I came because was hunger)
Me: (smiling), thank you iyawo mi, but I have some questions I want to ask you
Funmilayo: (looking surprised). What is it brother femi?
Me: (starring at her face). How deep is your friendship with Bayo?
Funmilayo: (looking surprised). We are nothing but just good friends sir brother femi. We only cherish our friendship and we take each other very serious. Please why do you ask the question?
Me: (still starring at her). It’s nothing, I just want to know what you were discussing when I came in on you in the afternoon when I came back after I escorted Motunrayo outside. You guys seem to be pretty closer on the couch.
Funmilayo: (still has a surprised look on her face). Nothing, we were just talking about school stuffs. I can see that she doesn’t want to tell me the whole truth about what they were discussing and she knows that I wasn’t convince with what she said either. But I just let the matter to lie without prolonging it any further; I hope she and Bayo are not now engaged in any dating relationship or such because they are too small for that at least not now. (If I should find out later we go fight).
