When is the federal ministry of foreign affairs recruiting in Abuja?

The Nigerian foreign ministry which was created by the federal government in 1960 is a statutory body established to implement and re-inforce foreign decision making in the country.

The ministry initially named ministry of foreign affairs and common wealth was established under Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa who as the then prime minister, also doubled as the foreign affairs advocate of Nigeria from 1960 to 1961.

The ministry’s name which was subsequently changed to ministry of external affairs and finally its current name, ministry of foreign affairs in 1991 had Jaja Wachuku as the first substantive minister from 1961 to 1965.

The foreign affairs ministry was established to handle the external promotion of the country’s ideals and domestic vision. It is headed by a federal executive cabinet minister. Its mission as of late has been focused on increasing awareness about Nigeria’s economic potential.

over 50 years has undergone several reforms, each aimed at re-positioning and restructuring the ministry.

It is currently under the service of Geoffrey Onyeama (2015-present).

The foreign affairs ministry which has its headquarters located on Maputo street off, Abidjan street Wuse Zone 3, P.M.B. 130, Garki, Federal Capital Territory, Abuja is currently undergoing recruitment which commenced in August.

According to several job websites, the deadline for the recruitment is on the September 20, 2017. Requirement for the job application are stated on these jobsites.
