ZENITHBLOG.com came across a post shared by an angry Nigerian lady who is of the opinion that leaders should be ‘young and trim’ and not ‘fat and bloated’.
After seeing a gathering of the five southeastern governors recently, a lady identified as Jane Ohaji-Akwani, couldn’t hold back her ‘anger’ and lashed out over their sizes.
According to a post she shared on her Facebook page, a leader is supposed to look ‘trim and not bloated’ and also be able to ‘exude knowledge and brains’.
She also wondered when the time for people who are young and ‘look ready to serve’, would come.

Sharing her post, Jane wrote:
“The newsclip on Channels shows our governors…
1. Rochas- fat, bloated, rotund stomach. Shame.
2. Ugwuanyi- Gburugburu and indeed he is gburugburu.
3. Ikpeazu- fat, rotund, vacuous looking. Tufia.
4. Willie- Trim enough. Looks kinda weary.
5. Umahi- nondescript. I don’t know what he’s about.

I wonder when we will have cerebral, young, trim, looking ready to serve men or women in power? People that exude knowledge and brains. Argue if you want to but looks add to charisma. Who has time to be mesmerized by Winnie the Pooh when we don’t live in fictionland.
I look at Donald Duke and Sullivan Chime and they strike me as what leaders should look like. Inspiring and not insipid. Trim and not bloated.
Stuffing their faces like children from Somalia let loose in a fast food restaurant and looking really terrible. The shame of their big bellies.”
