Owerri elders allegedly invoke spirit of dead forefathers against Governor Rochas Okorocha (photo)

Some Imo state elders have taken laws into their hands by allegedly joining forces to invoke the spirit of dead forefathers to work against Governor Rochas Okorocha.

Following the demolition of the Owerri Main Market, popularly known as Eke-Ukwu Owerri and the drama that followed between the people of the town who believe they were treated unfairly and Governor Rochas, there has been another development.

Even though Rochas denied that lives were lost, it was revealed that about three people died, including a 10-year-old boy, Somtochukwu Ibeanusi.

According to latest reports by Facebook user, Ichie Chinedum Cham-Agiriga, some elders of Owerri town came together and decided to seek the assistance of their late forefathers, against Governor Rochas.

Agiriga said the elders gathered by the grave of Late Sir Arugo, to asking for him to intervene in the matter.

Sharing the picture, Agiriga wrote:

Owerri elders gathered today at the graveside of Late Sir Arugo to pour libation, lay curses on Rochas and invoke the spirit of the dead forefathers against the governor for relocating the ancestral Eke Ukwu Owerri market. #ThisIsTheChange.”
