It was like a scene in one the Nollywood movies when it was discovered in China-Naguru hospital, that one of the patients being attended to was Uganda’s minister of health, Sarah Opendi.
ZENITHBLOG.com gathered that the minister had disguised by wearing a veil to the hospital . When she arrived at the hospital at 10am, she told the medical officials on duty that she wanted to take hepatitis B test.
She was told to pay a bribe of shs5,000 at the reception in order to see a doctor, which she willingly paid.
When she finally got to the doctor, the doctor also asked for a bribe of shs100,000 to conduct the test. After paying, police covered up the place and arrested the two corrupt medical officers.
China-Naguru is a public hospital where treatment is meant to be for free.
