ZENITHBLOG.com learnt that Governor Ayodele Fayose and PDP stakeholders have endorsed a consensus candidate for 2018 Ekiti gubernatorial election.

The stakeholders backed the controversial Ekiti state governor in endorsing Professor Kolapo Olusola Eleka as the PDP candidate for next gubernatorial election in Ekiti.

Sunshine Anifowoshe, the personal assistant to the governor made this known on his Facebook page on Wednesday, September 6.

Professor Kolapo Olusola Eleka is the incumbent deputy governor of Ekiti state.

The deputy governor who recently became a professor was adopted at a meeting attended by 177 councilors, 177 ward chairmen, 16 Local Government party chairmen, 16 local council chairmen, chairmen and members of Boards and Parastatals, State Executive Council, Ekiti state House of Assembly members, serving and former members of the PDP working committee, former deputy governor, among others.

Until his election as deputy governor elect of Ekiti state, Olusola was an accomplished teacher in the Department of Building, Obafemi Awolowo University, for the past twenty-three (23) years.

At the postgraduate level, he has successfully supervised two PhD, two M.Phil and nine M.Sc. students all in the field of Building Structures within the past nine years after obtaining his PhD degree.

He has severally served as External examiner in many universities within the country.

His research interests are mainly in the field of Alternative Building Materials Development for Housing Construction, Construction Technology and Structural Mechanics.
