An Abuja-based business man has alleged officers of the Nigeria Police released robbers who raided his shop.
The businessman, Kelechi Umezurike said, robbers attacked his shop in Dutsen Alhaji in Abuja and carted away with his N967,000.
Umezurike in a user submitted report told ZENITHBLOG.com that security men stationed in the area arrested the suspected robbers and handed them over to the police.

He said: “The security men arrested the thief with the money and took him to the Police station in order to ascertain the particular shop that was burgled in the morning.”
“The police men release the Robber with the money that was with him before this morning.
Now they have detained the officer in charge yesterday,” Umezurike said.

ZENITHBLOG.com earlier reported that a suspected armed robber and an operative of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, attached to the Bayelsa state command have been killed in a gun battle.
It was gathered that the incident took place took place along Kolo Creek in Ogbia local government area of the state on Wednesday, April 12.

The gang of suspected armed robbers operating in the area had laid an ambush for a patrol van of the NSCDC operatives resulting to a gun battle between the two parties.
