A 10-year-old boy in Louisiana, US has heroically delivered his baby brother after his mother unexpectedly went into labor six weeks early.

Jayden Fontenot followed his mother’s instructions and successfully completed the delivery on a bathroom floor at home on August 11.

Even more incredibly, his mother Ashly Moreau, 36, was bleeding profusely and his baby brother Daxx was breech, which means he came out first.

A quick-thinking Jayden also ran into the kitchen and fetched a gas mask once he realized Daxx was not breathing. He then pumped oxygen into his lungs.

Doctors say without Jayden’s heroic effort, both his mother and baby brother could have passed away.
