– The clashes reportedly came as a result of reprisal attacks after the death of a popular figure named ‘Hamburger’
– The police have had to step in to quell the violence which has claimed at least one life
The Oshodi area of Lagos state including Shogunle have been unsafe for a couple of days following violent clashes between members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), and Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN).
The Lagos state government has assured residents of safety of lives and properties even as it urged them to go about legal businesses without any fear.
To ensure Law and order, the Lagos police task force swarmed the area and reassured citizens of safety.

ZENITHBLOG.com earlier reported that the NURTW member identified as Razaq Bello was allegedly shot dead by members of a rival gang.
It was gathered that violence started after the primaries in Shogunle area of Lagos state was put on hold due to accusations against the manner at which the exercise was being conducted on Monday, May 29.

Bello was popularly known as Hamburger was the Lagos state treasurer of tricycle operators.
