– 60 year-old wife of a village head in Kaduna has been kidnapped

– The kidnappers were alleged to be Fulani gunmen
Some suspected Fulani gunmen have allegedly kidnapped the 60-year old a Kaduna village head.
Consequently, this has thrown the residents of Kagurdna, Kakau district of Chikun local government area of Kaduna state in a state of fear.

The abduction of the 60-year old wife of the village head, Chief Amos Yerima by suspected Fulani gunmen was said to have taken place on the morning of Friday June 2.
Details according to reports are still sketchy but 35-year old son of the victim, Makama Nathan Yerima insisted that he overheard the kidnappers speaking in Fulani accent.
According to him, a member of the local vigilante was also shut dead by the armed men.
“We heard them speaking in Hausa, with Fulani accent. My mother, my younger brother and one of my nephews were taken away by the suspected Fulani gunmen,” he explained.
However, when contacted, ASP Usman Aliyu, the Police public relations officer, Kaduna state command said that he was yet to be briefed on the development.

Meanwhile, recall that ZENITHBLOG.com reports that a member of the House of Representatives, representing Sumaila/Takai federal constituency of Kano state, Garba Durbunde was on Wednesday, May 31, kidnapped.
ZENITHBLOG.com had earlier reported that Mr. Durbunde who was driving alone got kidnapped on his way to Kano from Abuja on Tuesday, May 30th 5pm along Kaduna- Jere road.
