Ibrahim Magu, the acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes (EFCC), is currently battling unseen forces planning to get him sacked.
As a result, those plotting his removal are already scouting for evidence to nail him and this include ransacking his uncompleted building in Karshi, a suburb of Abuja.
This is reportedly causing panic among investors within Magu’s family as well among his associates as fear grows that their houses could be searched without warrants.

The plot emerged as the acting chairman further faces a war with the media following the raiding of the Sun newspaper in Lagos.
The Nation reports that some lobbyists, including powerful citizens were behind this plot and have even visited London with the names of two likely candidates to succeed Magu.
The two candidates, according to the report, are a deputy commissioner of police and an assistant commissioner of police.

In London, the anti-Magu forces allegedly argued that the presidency must do all within its powers to avert crisis with the National Assembly over the rejection of the EFCC chairman.
While Magu was away in Malawi, where he was named the vice chairman of the Commonwealth African anti-corruption agencies, some security agents reportedly stormed his uncompleted bungalow and even dug up a soak-away pit at the site.
The search, ZENITHBLOG.com learnt, was in an attempt to find buried cash. This however yielded no fruit.
Magu has remained the chairman of the EFCC in acting capacity following his rejection by the Senate on two occasions.
The report said: “Some powerful forces have decided to prevail on the President to remove Magu, having been rejected twice by the Senate. They said Magu should not be treated as indispensable.
“Some of them are angry that the EFCC has been closing in on them and their associates. Others have outstanding reports against them.
“They are using likely conflict between the Presidency and the National Assembly as an excuse but they are out to protect class interest.
“Some of them have also been uncomfortable with the style of the EFCC chairman. They alleged that it might have political backlash for the President.

“If care is not taken, these powerful lobbyists may have their way. A principal officer of the National Assembly is said to be highly connected with one of the shortlisted candidates.
“The plot has been perfected in a manner that Magu’s removal might be a priority decision of the government before or when the president returns.”
ZENITHBLOG.com earlier reported that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had invited a suspended member of the House of Representatives, Abdulmumin Jibrin.
Jibrin was invited to speak more on the allegation of budget padding levelled against the leadership of the House headed by Speaker Yakubu Dogara.
Dogara is under probe with other principal officers including the deputy speaker, Yusuf Lasun, the minority leader, Leo Ogor and the chief whip, Alhassan Ado-Doguwa.
