Embattled Senator Dino Melaye has been in the spotlight recently following moves by electorates to recall him from the red chamber.
On Friday, June 23, the Kogi West senator filed a suit at the Federal High Court Abuja against the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) seeking an injunction against the commission to stop his recall.

ZENITHBLOG.com had reported that members of the Kogi West constituency in a recent visit to INEC filed a petition against Melaye.
However the signature of a deceased former governorship aspirant under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Prince Rotimi Obadofin was allegedly found on the recall register for the senator.
The senator took to his twitter handle to give a big laugh over the issue.

According to an earlier report by ZENITHBLOG.com, INEC received 188,588 signatures out of the 360,098 registered voters for the recall of Dino Melaye from the Senate.
The commission in Abuja on Wednesday, June 21, received six bags, which contained the signatures of 52.3% of the electorates from the zone and other petitions.
