The Dangote Foundation has commenced distribution of food items and other relief materials in Borno State for the 2017 Ramadan season to Internally displaced persons and other victims of the Boko Haram Insurgency in Borno state as part of humanitarian efforts for the state.
ZENITHBLOG.com gathered that the Governor of Borno State, Hon. Kashim Shettima, who flagged off the exercise in Maiduguri, was full of praises for Aliko Dangote, Chairman of the Foundation, reiterating the fact that he is the largest donor to the reconstruction of Borno state.

Engr. Satomi Ahmed, the Executive Secretary, Borno State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), in his remarks also commended the Dangote Foundation for the relief and support to Internally Displaced Persons.
Dangote flags off distribution of food items for Ramadan in Borno IDPs
Speaking at the flag off, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Dangote Foundation, Zouera Youssoufou restated the Foundation’s commitment to providing relief and support to Borno.
She was accompanied by Musa Bala, the Program Operations Manager, Abdulrahman Usman, the Program Support Officer, and Sanusi Ahmad, Programme Officer.

The 10 different food items distributed were Rice, Wheat Meal, Semolina, Seasoning, Beans, Noodles, Salt, Sugar, Pasta, and Tomatoes, donated to 1,700 households to serve 371,000 persons for 40 days.
