An Ikeja high court on Thursday, June 1 allowed Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobi of federal high court to go on a foreign trip for medical treatment.

Nigerian Tribune reports that Justice Ajumogobia had earlier sought the court’s permission to travel abroad on health reasons.

ZENITHBLOG.com gathered that a witness named Ademola Oshodi recently revealed some secrets about the embattled justice corrupt case.

Oshodi told the Federal High Court, Ikoyi, Lagos on Monday, November 28 that he moved foreign currency from Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia chambers and deposited it into her account.

Justice Oshodi conceded to the request by Ajumogobia’s lawyer to travel abroad on medical grounds.

“The Chief Registrar is hereby ordered to release the international passport of the 2nd defendant to enable her travel abroad between June 7-13, 2017.

”The defendant must return the passport to the chief registrar on or before July 1, 2017,″ said Justice Oshodi.

Co-defendant, Godwin Obla was also granted leave to travel.

ZENITHBLOG.com recalls that Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia, a Federal High Court judge, and Chief Godwin Obla, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) have been handed a 30-count charge of unlawful enrichment.

Ofili-Ajomogobia would be the first Nigerian judge to be asked to appear in the dock by a colleague.

They were arraigned before a Lagos High Court sitting in Ikeja by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Monday, November 28.
