The former commissioner for Information in Cross River state, Mr Patrick Ugbe, has been reportedly kidnapped.
Mr Ugbe, who is now the managing director of Hit FM in Calabar, the capital of the state, was reportedly taken away by masked gunmen, who attacked him at a burial event.

Sources confirmed that Ugbe was kidnapped at the burial of the mother-in-law to his wife’s younger brother at Ikot Ansa Calabar Municipality.
ZENITHBLOG.com learnt that the kidnappers, five of them, struck in the middle of the event heavily armed.
They then inquired to know who owns a car parked outside or they would kill everyone.

Immediately Ugbe identified himself as the owner of the car, he was allegedly forced into it and whisked away.
The police was yet to react at the time of this report. It was not also clear if the kidnappers had contacted family members of the victim.
