Arewa quit notice: 18 Oodua groups declare Oduduwa Republic, send message to Yorubas

– Some groups have called on Yoruba people who reside in the northan part of Nigeria should not forget the history of the country

– The group have also reacted to the North threat on Igbos and they called the threat as pain and misery

– Yoruba people have to start preparing for their own sovereign nation, the group declared

The O’odua Nationalist Coalition (ONAC), has reacted to North threat on Igbo and called on Yoruba people not to delay any longer before preparing for its nation.

ONAC reaction to the northern group is stated as “pain and misery on the Yoruba people due to distort of the development plan of the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo for the South West”.

Reports have it that ONAC comprises 18 groups including Oodua Peoples Congress, (OPC), Oodua Liberation Movement, (OLM), Oodua Republic Coalition, (ORC).

And the Yoruba Revolutionary Congress, (YORC), Oodua Muslim-Christian Dialogue Group, (OMDG), Yoruba Students Nationalist Front, (YOSNF), Oodua Hunters Union, (OHUN) among others.

Micheal Popoola, Oluwole Suleiman and Mrs Aduke Fadahunsi, made this known through a statement they signed on Sunday, June 11.

The statement is made available to call on Yoruba people who are in the Hausa-Fulani North not to despise the history of Nigeria.

The statement note: “We advise them to begin to make

alternative plans for the inevitable upheaval being promoted by the Fulani oligarchy.

‘North has always been the aggressor because of the region’s loss of power and the unhidden desire to make Nigeria the irreversible extension of the Fulani emirate.

“What we see is violent conflict of civilisations which can only be resolved when each region go her own way.

“In the bid to keep Nigeria as one country, millions of people have been killed and the lives of children wasted, the future pauperized and the potentials of Yoruba young men and women bottled or chained with fetters of iron.”

Meanwhile, ZENITHBLOG.com earlier reported that Igbo traditional in the north have reacted to the quit notice issued to them by northern youths insisting they will not leave after years of investment.

The northern youths’ ultimatum had stirred nationwide reaction with some Igbo groups calling on Igbos to vacate the north to avoid violence.

That Igbo traditional rulers urged their people not to leave the north and not listen to the supposed threat.
