The wife of the president, Aisha, was among other dignitaries who offered fervent prayers for President Muhammadu Buhari at the banquet hall of the state house on Thursday, June 8.

Premium Times reports that the event was convened by the chief Imam of the State House Mosque, Abdulwaheed Abubakar Sulaiman.
At the event which was themed: “The Holy Month of Ramadan: A Sober Reflection for All and Sundry, prayers were offered for the nation and President Buhari.
The even was held at the banquet hall of the state house on Thursday, June 8.
The gathering was graced by several dignitaries including the deputy governor of Jigawa state, Ibrahim Hassan; traditional rulers; wife of the Senate president, Toyin Saraki; and wives of the governors of Nasarawa, Kebbi and Ogun states; the chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim Magu; and some Muslim scholars from across the country.
While delivering his message, Abdurrahman Ahmed, the Chief Missioner for Ansaruddeen Society of Nigeria, who was the keynote speaker, identified the problem of Nigeria as emanating from its ingratitude over the blessings it has enjoyed as one of the countries with the highest potential in the world.

Ahmed pointed out that such ingratitude had led the country to lose favour with God.
The speaker said that was why there was a moral and economic downturn in the country.
He called on Nigerians to be good citizens so that the blessings will return.
“Since things didn’t go wrong overnight, they should not be expected to go right overnight,” Suleiman Haruna,” the spokesperson to Mrs. Buhari quoted the cleric as saying.
Meanwhile, Nigerians have been assured by the federal government that President Muhammadu Buhari is in competent hands in London, United Kingdom.
Daily Trust reports that this assurance was given by the minister of information and culture Lai Mohammed at the end of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting which held on Wednesday, May 31, at the State House in Abuja.
The meeting was chaired by Acting President Yemi Osinbajo.
