A fire broke out in the 24-storey block known as Grenfell Tower in London on June 13, 2017, leading to several deaths and hundreds injured.
As the fire razed the building, several residents could be heard screaming for help and yelling for their children to be saved.

1. Muslims saved people
Many eyewitnesses said the fact that Muslims were awake because they were praying for Ramadan saved several lives in the London fire as they rushed to wake people.

2. People were jumping from the burning building
Many were so scared they began jumping from the burning building, when the fire broke out. The pictures below were an heartbreaking sight for all over London. Many did not survive the jump.

3. A baby was thrown from the 10th floor
According to news and may eyewitnesses, a woman threw her baby from the 10th floor and it was caught by people, saving a precious life.
4. At least 17 people died
There were initial news reports that six people died in the fire. However the final report was that at least 17 people were dead and 20 critically injured in the ghastly incidents.
5. A child’s notebook was found in the burnt building
One of the most powerful photos found in the building was that of a child’s notebook. No one is sure exactly how many children lost their lives in the fire.

6. Firemen were the real heroes
A picture of firemen and women seated after battling the blaze for hours and saving lives moved many people to tears for the sacrifice these people make everyday.
