Respite has come to Muslim Rohingya refugees who fled genocide in Myanmar, as much-needed relief materials were donated to them by a Sokoto-born Nigerian student, Bilyaminu Bashir.
The development was made public in a Facebook post by Hausa news portal, Rariya.

ZENITHBLOG.com gathers that Bashir, who is currently studying at the International Islamic University Chittagong, Bangladesh, made the donations during a visit to the refugee camp in the Cox’s Bazar province.
He was able to purchase them with the living allowance he gets from the Sokoto state government.
The items, which included food and clothing, were donated under the banner: ‘Helping The Innocent Refugees of Rohingya Muslim, A Heartfelt Donation from A Nigerian Peoples’.
